Lafitte Cork Portugal Recognized with COTEC 2024 Innovative Status

Founded in Toulouse in 1918, Lafitte Cork produces cork stoppers and capsules for wines and spirits. In 1956, the first production facility was established in Portugal, the country of origin of the company’s main raw material. Today, in addition to France and Portugal, the company has facilities in Spain, Italy, the United States, Chile, and Argentina. Lafitte Cork Portugal, however, remains the leading producer within this multinational group, which distributes approximately 350 million corks annually.
Received in its 68th year of operation, this award clearly reflects Lafitte Cork Portugal’s ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of innovation while maintaining a firm commitment to sustainable practices.
